My Zombie Pinup

Friday, October 24th, 2008

I stumbled across My Zombie Pinups through someone’s blog or site (I can’t remember), but thought it was a really cool idea. Well, cool if you like zombies and pinup models. The pics are really well done too.

A good friend of mine that is a photographer, Paula Burr of Killer Eye Photography, has done some similar stuff (horror/gore/zombie pinups). Personally, I like her stuff a lot more than this photographer’s, but my opinion is probably biased. What am I talking about, Paula’s stuff is way better! Hopefully soon she will have her photo gallery up so that we can all see her stuff.

Another Star Wars Steampunk Artist – Bjorn Hurri

Tuesday, October 21st, 2008

If you enjoy Star Wars and/or Steampunk, Bjorn Hurri has made an awesome incorporation of the two. A friend had sent me a link to his gallery on Gorillaartfare.com a few days ago and my jaw hit the floor. This guy is an incredible artist. His attention to detail and appreciation for artistic lines makes these some kick-ass paintings. I took his Storm Trooper design and made a wallpaper for my desktop and one for my iPhone as well.

Check out the rest of his gallery.

Paper Stains: A Parody of MIA’s Paper Planes

Friday, October 17th, 2008

My friend Joey sent me a link for a parody of MIA’s Paper Planes. This parody was done by KROQ out of LA. If you haven’t heard it yet, you have to listen to it! It redefines “potty humor”.

I have also picked the MP3 from their site if you want a copy for yourself. Download Paper Stains

11/20/08 Update: it seems that the KROQ link is not working any longer (not sure why). So I used a Flash MP3 player that I borrowed from Joey.

Pumpkin Designs

Friday, October 10th, 2008

With Halloween coming up soon, I have been looking around for cool pumpkin designs. I came across the carving of the Death Star and also one of a Bobomb.

I found this site called http://www.extremepumpkins.com. They had a bunch of really neat ideas, some of which I will attempt this year. I have posted more images below.

If you happen to find any other great pumpkin carvings/designs, let me know.

Thanks to Nick for the link: http://fantasypumpkins.com
