I am on day seven of Heidi and I’s 90 Day Fitness Challenge. I do have to say that my body is beginning to feel firmer and I definitely have more energy. I sleep more soundly as well. The funny thing is that my body is waking me up at about 4:30 in the morning and I tend to try and force myself to get that extra 30 minutes of sleep.
Now as far as the food goes, the idea of having all of our meals planned out has helped relieve the “what are going to make for dinner tonight” syndrome. Also, we look forward to ALL of our meals; snacks, dinner, lunch, they are all great and tasty.
Because we are making all of our meals, we spend a lot of time prepping and cooking. This has been a nice change as it lets Heidi and I spend time together doing something constructive that we both enjoy and not spend hours watching TV. We usually get home from work, she works out while I prep/cook dinner. Then we eat dinner. After dinner we clean up and begin prepping our meals for the next day. Once we are done doing all of that, it is usually 8pm or later and then we normally go to bed at 9pm.
Here are my daily entries:
Monday:
Meals (10/10) – I ate everything that the menu had planned.
Exercise (9/10) – I gave myself a 9 because it is difficult to do everything in the sculpting workout do to my finger situation. My hand is fairly sore in a lot of the positions.
Tuesday:
Meals (8/10) – I ate most of everything on my planned menu. I did go out to lunch with my work.group and had Thai noodles with tofu, which tend to be oily/greasy.
Exercise (10/10) – I did my cardio and abs workout today. My stomach was so sore after the workout.
Wednesday:
Meals (10/10) – I ate everything according to the meal plan. My turkey burger for lunch was really tasty. The brussel sprouts were something I really disliked. Heidi ate mine and I ate her salad.
Exercise (9/10) – I did my sculpting work out with the resistance bands. I am still having challenges doing the work out 100% do to the pain in my hand/finger. Hopefully in the next couple weeks it will heal and I will be able to do more.
