90 Day Fitness Challenge – Day 52

Posted on Monday, January 5th, 2009 at 5:04 pm

I am now on day 52 of my 90 Day Fitness Challenge (Power 90 Program – P90), and I have to say that I am feeling great!

I had been really sick for about 2 weeks followed by a Holiday trip for a week visiting Heidi’s family in Texas. So for about 3 weeks, I didn’t work out very much, I think I got in about 4 or five days. I did however follow the meals that we had planned fairly accurately. I think that eating as well as we did considering I didn’t work out as much, helped me keep weight off.

I looked at the pictures I took when we started (Day 4) and compared them to where I am now. I notice that my stomach is flatter and that my arms look like they have a bit more definition. Now that we are back into the swing of our program, I can feel everything coming back.

I also decided to increase my weights by changing to the orange resistance band. Changing up a band really made a difference in my workout intensity. By the end of my first workout with the heavier bands, I felt like my arms were going to fall off. Surprisingly, I wasn’t really sore the next day either.

ive never seen you with your shirt off (all your tats). I feel dirty. No more pictures.

Congrats on being past halfway on your challenge. I think our energy level is determined the most by the sort of things we eat and drink. It seems like your experience is confirming that?

To answer your question, I would have to agree. Healthy changes to my diet have seemed to increase my energy levels as well as changing my tastes towards non-healthy foods. I usually crave healthy foods now versus junk food. I would much rather have an apple and peanut butter than a bag of potato/tortilla chips.
