Today is Day 17 in my 90 Day Fitness Challenge. I haven’t been blogging about my progress as frequently as I feel am really in the swing of the program and it would most likely be the same story over and over. So I am planning to give a weekly update instead.
I started my third week over this last weekend. It is hard to believe that it has gone by so quickly. The first two weeks seemed to just whiz by. The daily workouts have become much easier so I have been pushing myself more while doing them. The purple resistance band is becoming easier to work with, which leads me to believe that I will be changing bands soon, maybe within a week or two. I can feel my skin tightening as my body fat lessens. Heidi says that she has noticed that my arms and stomach have become more toned.
Eating, well, the food has been excellent as well. My only gripe about the food is that the meals and shopping list need to be revisited. There are some spots where what is on the shopping list is not in any of the meals that week. Also, it would really help to have the shopping list in ounces as this seems to be the unit of measure we use while shopping.
Heidi and I were concerned about how my mom visiting for almost a week spanning the Thanksgiving holiday, would affect our regimen. Surprisingly, we never skipped a beat. We stayed on track with our food the entire time (less our free day which we ate well for the most part) and for Thanksgiving dinner I had made healthy substitutes which made for a very tasty and lighter dinner.
It goes to show that if you have a plan and are determined to follow it, the holidays and family visits don’t need to be excuses for getting of track. I can’t wait to see how we will feel after the first 30 days.
